PhD topic: Plasmonic Nanostructures for Biosensing Applications
Supervisor: prof. Giovanni Mattei
Research Interests:
My research field regards the study of plasmonic nanostructure for biosensing applications so my activity has two main focuses. Firstly, I study and optimize the properties of the plasmonic nanostructures by Finite Element Method simulations and by nanofabricating them employing the Nano Sphere Lithography technique. Secondly, it follows a more bio-chemical activity where the nanostructure is functionalized to obtain a biosensor able to reveal a specific biological compound.
