Mobility
During the three-year PhD Program, students typically spend short periods away to attend conferences, schools, or project meetings, and longer stays to carry out part of their thesis work at universities or research institutes in Italy or abroad.
For any research or study period abroad lasting at least 15 days, PhD students with a scholarship may apply for a 50% increase in the scholarship for the duration of the stay abroad.
The procedures, deadlines, and instructions for submitting the required authorization forms and the start/end attestations of the activities abroad are described in detail in the following informative note https://www.unipd.it/en/phd-fees-grants-benefits.
Authorization from the PhD Coordinator is always required, regardless of the duration of the stay (shorter or longer than 15 days), in order to ensure proper insurance coverage.

In all cases, you must comply with the Administrative Office regulations. Detailed procedures, including the steps for opening a mission and requesting reimbursements, are provided in the following PDF file.
