First Steps in the PhD Program
Two meetings will be organized within the first half of November, which you are required to attend. The dates are still to be determined, but you will be notified by email as soon as possible.
Collegio Docenti Meeting
Date: to be defined
Location: to be defined
You will be asked to present a thesis proposal and a supervisor, both of which must be approved and formally appointed by the Collegio Docenti. The project proposal should be summarized on one page in English, signed by the proposed supervisor (you may submit the signed document before the meeting begins). You will briefly present your project to the Collegio in about two minutes.
If you have not yet arrived in Padova, we can arrange for you to present your thesis proposal remotely.
Introductory Meeting
Date: to be defined
Location: to be defined
The meeting will be held with Prof. Giovanni Carraro (Coordinator), Prof. Paolo Cassata (Deputy Coordinator), PhD student representatives, Alessandra Zorzi (Academic Office), and Anna Bologna (Administrative Office).
We will introduce the PhD program and its structure, and provide all the information you need to plan your study path, together with key administrative guidance (authorizations, reimbursements, funds, etc.).
We will also present an overview of the Doctoral School, the educational offer, and practical logistics. If you need to leave on a mission before this meeting, please contact Anna Bologna at annateresa.bologna(at)unipd(dot)it for information.
