Mercoledì 3 febbraio - ore 16:30 | Meeting Zoom
Speaker: Mairi Sakellariadou - King's College London
Mairi is a Professor of Theoretical Physics at King's College London. Her research focuses on theoretical physics and cosmology, with emphasis on the physics of the early universe. Her research stands at the interface between cosmology, theoretical particle physics and gravitational theories, testing the most advanced theories against the plethora of astrophysical, cosmological and high energy physics data.
She is a world class expert in quantum cosmology and gravitational waves, and is a member of several gravitational wave experiments, including LIGO, LISA and the Einstein Telescope.
She is also Editor-in-Chief of the journal General Relativity and Gravitation, and a board member of the Gravitational Physics Division of the European Physical Society.
